Brad Oneil

Brad Oneil - CCAC, CHPC Program Director
Brad is a Canadian Certified Addiction Counsellor and a Sex Addiction Therapist, trained by the International Institute of Trauma and Addiction Professionals as a CSAT. He studied psychology at the University of Liverpool and Addiction Studies at Mount Royal University. He is a member of the Canadian Addiction Counsellors Certification Federation.
Brad started counselling and facilitating groups in 2005 and owned and operated a treatment facility in Calgary from 2012 – 2020, closing it due to COVID. His specialties are Substance Abuse, Sex Addiction, Trauma and Family of Origin Issues, including family systems.
He created the Living Authentically Program which is a deep dive into how our history drives and dictates present day behaviour and how to break the patterns. He also created the Live Your Daydream program which is designed to help people find their purpose and meaning in life and reach their highest potential.
Brad Is the author of three e-books: Live your Daydream, Talk To Yourself Like Someone You Are Trying To Help, and One Percent Better Every Day.
He is a firm believer that it is never about “What is wrong with you?” but rather, “What happened to you?”
All behaviours are explainable if you know the history.

Cortney is a graduate of the Clinical Masters of Social Work Program of the University of Calgary. Cortney grounds her practice in a narrative therapy approach and a variety of trauma informed interventions including Polyvagal theory, Parts work and the Window of Tolerance model. Cortney is also a certified Trauma Centered Trauma Sensitive Yoga Facilitator. In combination with her ten years of experience working in the mental health field and weaving in a mind, body, spirit approach, Cortney supports her clients in unpacking experiences and stories that are impacting their wellbeing and ability to move forward in life. By continuously honouring her client’s internal strengths and wisdoms, Cortney helps to build resilience, the ability to manage difficult emotions and lead an authentic connective life. The work she does with clients is powerful, life changing and produces lasting results.
Cortney works in supporting those impacted by behavioral addictions, substance use addictions, depression, anxiety, grief/loss, early childhood trauma and Complex PTSD.
Gillian Morgan

Gillian Morgan - BSW, RSW, CHMC
Gillian is a Registered Social Worker, DBT Specialist and Certified HeartMath Coach. She has a degree in Social Work from The University of Calgary, is Certified with the Heart Math Institute and has specialized training in Dialectical Behavioural Therapy, Trauma Informed Care and Wraparound facilitation. She has over 20 years of experience in the Social Work field working with individuals from all different backgrounds and life challenges.
Gillian specializes in teaching her clients scientifically proven strategies to calm their central nervous system to manage stress, anxiety and overwhelm. Using Dialectical Behavioural Therapy techniques, she provides her clients with tangible tools to learn emotional regulation, distress tolerance, mindfulness, and interpersonal effectiveness skills to quickly and effectively improve their day to day lives.
She also works with couples and individuals to understand the principles of attachment theory and how to improve connection and communication.
Working with Gillian, clients gain a tool belt of skills and strategies to reduce stress, overwhelm, depression, anxiety, improve their relationships and reduce problematic behaviours.
Peter Sheridan

Peter Sheridan, CCAC, ACTA
Pete is a Canadian Certified Addictions Counsellor and a Certified Grief Counsellor
He spent 12 years as a case manager at Calgary Drug Treatment Court.
Pete started his career as a RCMP officer and was stationed in various communities throughout Saskatchewan. He left the force to pursue a career in Real Estate. During that time he became active in politics and served as the Executive Assistant to the Minister of Environment and Minister of Indian and Metis Affairs.
Pete became involved in the recovery community in 1992 and since that time has displayed his passion for working with youth and young adults with alcohol and drug problems. He has also been facilitating support groups for over ten years.
Pete is the Leader of the Life Recovery ministry at Central United Church, and volunteers countless hours mentoring people who struggle with addiction. He has a passion for helping those who are less fortunate and helps spearhead programs to feed and clothe the homeless through his church ministries. He is an ordained minister and performs weddings and funerals.
Pete began a Prison Ministry over 15 years ago and volunteered as a mentor at the Calgary Young Offenders Centre as well as mentoring youth after their release into the community. He has also taught Literacy and Parenting in the Calgary Remand Centre.
